AI Standardized Patients

Unlimited patient encounters. Every one scored against your rubric.

Students interview an AI patient by voice, built from the case file you already have. Faculty see every encounter scored on history-taking and communication, and know who is ready before OSCE week.

What We Hear from Simulation Leads

Each student gets two SP encounters a term. They need twenty.
Our SPs drift off script by the third student of the afternoon. You can hear it.
Recruiting, training and paying SPs is the biggest line in my budget, and scheduling them is worse.
Faculty spend the whole afternoon scoring instead of teaching.

How It Works

Formative practice between your live SP sessions, on the cases you already teach.

  1. 1

Build the case from your case file

Upload the case: presenting complaint, history, social context, affect. TrackPoint drafts the patient personality, the level of difficulty and the scoring criteria. Faculty edit all three.

  2. 2

Students interview the patient by voice

A live conversation in the browser. The patient answers in character, volunteers what a real patient would volunteer, withholds what they would withhold, and reacts to how the student asks.

  3. 3

Every encounter scored against your rubric

History-taking and communication criteria scored 1 to 5, each with the quoted moment from the transcript that earned the score and a note on what to do differently next time.

What Faculty See

Cohort readiness

Know who is ready before OSCE week

Every student score on every criterion, with trends across the term. The weakest criterion across the cohort is the one to spend Thursday session on.

  • Open any encounter to read the transcript and hear the recording
  • Compare a cohort against last term, or against your passing bar
  • Export the grid for accreditation records

Assignments

Assign cases the way you assign coursework

Give a cohort a set of cases with a due date and a passing score. See who has cleared the bar, who is still working and who has not started.

  • One list showing passed, in progress and overdue
  • Repeat the same set next term to recertify
  • Export as CSV for your gradebook

Built for Program Directors and Simulation Leads

The platform students practice on. The view faculty run the program from.

Twenty encounters, not two

The constraint on repetitions has always been the cost of recruiting, training, paying and scheduling live standardized patients. An AI patient removes the per-encounter cost, so the number of reps becomes a teaching decision rather than a budget one.

Built to sit beside your SP program

AI patients do not replace live standardized patients for physical examination or summative OSCEs. They give students the reps between live sessions that the budget never allowed.

Your rubric, not ours

Score against the history-taking and communication criteria your program already uses, in your own words, so a score here means the same thing it means in your OSCE.

Consistent every time

The case presents the same way for the first student of the morning and the last of the afternoon, so a score reflects the student rather than which SP they drew.

No patient data involved

Cases are fictional. Student recordings and transcripts stay inside your institution account and are never used to train any model.

Runs in the browser

Nothing to install and no simulation-lab booking. A laptop with a microphone is enough, so students practice from home the night before a session.
